Françoise & Patrick, your hosts

In 2014, Françoise & Patrick dreamed of changing their lives and opening a guest house in Provence. So, they left the gloominess of Luxembourg and their respective jobs and headed for Drôme Provençale. They quickly fell in love with an old Provencal farmhouse perched on a hill in Roche-Saint-Secret. After a major renovation, they opened the Mas de l'Adret in July 2016. With a rating of 9.7/10 on Booking.com, presented with many awards from tourism professionals and the subject of many written and televised reports, the Mas de l'Adret welcomed visitors from all over the world for 6 years.

Meanwhile, Patrick wanted to return to architecture, his passion and Françoise fell under the spell of Grignan, ranked the most beautiful village in France.

As chance would have it, they had the opportunity to acquire land at the foot of the château belonging to Mrs de Sévigné. They devised a new concept, a private villa with luxury services, a compromise between a traditional guest house and a boutique hotel.

Through a partnership with the architect Christian Chambon, Patrick made this bold project a reality.  A resolutely modern villa created entirely in concrete in a listed village. Inspired by the brutalist architecture and its pioneer, Le Corbusier, Pavillon M was approved by the French architectural organisation, Les Architectes des Bâtiments de France in 2021. Construction started in 2022. Pavillon M opens in June 2023 and offers 5 luxury guest rooms that combine comfort, simplicity and design. Featuring a heated swimming pool, exceptional bedding, elegant and contemporary furniture, Françoise and Patrick have carefully considered every detail, favouring high-quality materials that respect the environment.

They await you in this luxurious, modern setting to share pleasant times in your company and help you to discover their beautiful region.

Patrick and Françoise can welcome you in French, English, German and Luxembourgish.

Françoise

A Belgian-Luxembourger, Françoise is a graduate in communication and marketing. Her favourite professional experience was her position as responsible for communication at the Fondation Follereau, a Luxembourg NGO committed to the promotion of quality of life for vulnerable African communities (www.ffl.lu). Passionate about cooking and baking, Françoise creates Pavillon M’s legendary gourmet breakfasts for you. She also loves to welcome guests and chat!

Patrick

Patrick is a Luxembourger. He has always been passionate about architecture. For 21 years, he was a managing partner at an architecture firm and several construction companies in Luxembourg where he specialised in passive eco houses. After falling in love with the Drôme 25 years ago, Patrick wanted to settle here when he retired. Life decided otherwise and he ended up moving here a few years earlier than planned. Patrick is also a wine lover... and if you are lucky, he’ll show you his secret cellar...

CARAMELLE

Françoise & Patrick found Caramelle abandoned in a box in 2012. Now a full family member, she’s also responsible for “mousekeeping”! She loves cuddles but beware of her watchful eye! After a few strokes, she sometimes wants to play and bite.  She loves to sleep in unlikely places so watch out if you leave doors or windows open. As she’s very territorial, pets are not allowed at Pavillon M, so that you can enjoy Caramelle at her best...
